The first Snax opened 60 years ago in 1954 by Hessie Moonie. Our original location was on the corner of Artesia and Green Lane. In 1955, Hessie created what we are now famous for, our Super Burger. The reason for the Super Burger was to rival the Whopper and the Big Mac. Hessie wanted to let the people know that this burger just wasn't big, but Super and massive. Twenty-seven years later, Hessie's daughter Sheryl and Jim Brigg's opened the location that is now on Anza and Sepulveda.
In the mid 80's, Snax hits it's first evolutionary milestone which took it from a straight burger joint, and added breakfast to its menu. In 2007, Snax changed ownership and was purchased by Jose Lamas. Snax once again evolved and spiced up its menu by adding Mexican food. As business grew so did locations. Snax added a new restaurant in 2010 in city of Redondo Beach. Snax has continued to grow and has always continued with the tradition of being a family run business. Their family ties run as deep as their seasoned employee's. The two main chefs have been with the restaurant for over 20 years, which means you will find the same quality and taste every visit.
With Snax turning 66 in 2020, we want to thank you for your continued business and support. We appreciate all your business, and you are very much a part of our extended family as we are yours.
